Why rob the banks? They ain't got no money!

They asked John Dillinger once, why he robbed banks, and his answer was in a matter of fact way "that's where the money is".

I'm pretty sure is you asked Secretary Paulson this question his answer would be "why rob banks, they ain't got no money"

So if your gonna rob somethin', go where the money is.

Greed got us where we are.

case in point http://www.badattitudes.com/MT/archives/2007/11/greed_sinks_new.html

Think about your town, state and country 30 years ago. How it has changed. Many Amricans have fallen prey to the notion that the pursuit of riches trumps the values of our childhood. Those values and traditions that shaped a country that welcomed immigrants, valued honesty and the rule of law. When business decisions were made they were viewed through the lens of what is fair to the employees that made the products, or performed the service that made the business viable. When laws were instituted they also were made from a recipe balanced with ingrediants that were balanced so that neither citizens nor business gained weight. Balance and moderation might be what we should seek.

Greed aint' getting it done.

Makes sense to me........

Politics is alot like driving a car. If you want to go backwards you put in "R" and when you want to go forward you put it "D".

WTF hey Laura they locked us in!

Let's just hope that when they put that gate up at the end of Chimpy's new street. It locks from the outside......

Getting "you're moneys worth aka Value

We have all been to some large store, led there by wider selection and the perception of them having the lowest price. In many cases they provide a price that seems good, but what they do not provide is the best value. Value is linked to Price through the mechanism of exchange. When an economist observes an exchange, two important value functions are revealed: those of the buyer and seller. Just as the buyer reveals what he is willing to pay for a good, so too does the seller reveal what it costs him to give up the good.

So what we are is we need to look at the function of value and it has several PARTS!

After you give your money to someone for an object what are their responsibilites for selling you whatever you purchased. hence warranty.

A warranty is an obligation or guarantee that an article or service sold is as factually stated or legally implied by the seller, and that often provides for a specific remedy such as repair or replacement in the event the article or service fails to meet the warranty. A breach of warranty occurs when the promise is broken, i.e., a product is defective or not as should be expected by a reasonable buyer.

So having the "best" "lowest" "beat all" price may not be the best value.

Me peronally I buy from people I like and respect. Although sometimes you have no choice but to buy from a large multi-national company. Just my view from here...........

Buying a car off of somebody's front lawn?

It seems like lately I have heard some stories from freinds who have bought a car off of somebody's front lawn and had problems after a few days or weeks. Unless you take the time to take it to a mechanic, and then one you can trust, and have it checked out you really don't know what you are getting for your money. And when you go back to talk to whoever you bought it from they are not willing to help pay for whatever is wrong.

Let's face it, they probobly took it to a dealer to trade it in and when the dealer appraised the car and told them what is is worth they figured they could sell it themselves for more than they could get from the dealer.

When we appraise a car we not only look at the body and the interior but also listen and look at whatever could be wrong mechanically. Most if not all cars we take in trade need at a minimum new brakes, tires and exhaust. And probobly a good cleaning.

With labor rates of $60.00 to $90.00 per hour in a repair shop today it doesn't take long to have a bill for $1,000.00.

Plus when you buy the car off of somebody's front lawn you get no warranty.............
